Kodak Ektar 1000 was a professional-grade color negative film introduced in 1989, notable for its high ISO 1000 rating and ultra-fine grain. Part of Kodak's Ektar line, which included ISO 25, 100, and 125 variants, Ektar 1000 was designed to deliver exceptional image quality in low-light conditions, making it ideal for handheld shooting and fast-paced environments. The film utilized the C-41 development process and was available in both 35mm and 120 formats.
Despite its advanced capabilities, Ektar 1000 was discontinued in 1994, with the 120 format lasting until 1997, and was succeeded by the Royal Gold 1000 line .
